Chimney Extension - Insulated 6" x 48". This product meets specifications for all GX model furnaces among many others. (NOTE: This 6" size will NOT fit HE, GH, and BHS model furnaces.)

All Chimney extensions are shown by their INSIDE diameter and length. The outside diameter is always 2 inches wider. Accordingly, this product has an OD of 8".

NEVER use an uninsulated chimney extension. Outdoor wood boiler exhaust contains high amounts of steam from the wood fuel, and this steam must exit the furnace without condensing on the chimney wall. If the chimney wall is uninsulated, this steam will condense on the chimney wall, and highly acidic moisture will ruin most boilers in less than a few months.

Outdoor Boiler experts agree that only triple wall insulated chimney extensions should be used. Our products have a perfect safety record of protecting outdoor wood boilers and providing years of service.

SuperPro Chimney features 304-alloy stainless steel for both its inner and outer liner and mineral wool solid pack insulation. This insulation is formulated for optimum performance, it provides a thermal delay that resists and contains surges of heat, keeping the outer liner cooler.


SuperPro's couplers are embossed, not cut, to reduce moisture penetration. This greatly increases the longevity of the chimney. With these features, Supervent Products is so confident in SuperPro that they offer a lifetime prorated warranty. Components, such as flashings, have a galvalume coating that has twice the corrosion resistance of galvanized steel. SuperPro features twist-lock connections; however, locking bands are recommended at each joint for extra security when cleaning and are required on elbows. SuperPro has been tested and listed to UL's 103HT Standard. The manufacturer approves its use for wood, oil, coal, and gas.

• Slim, advanced design allows for installation between 16'' centers and still provides 2'' clearance from combustible material. 
• Secure twist-lock design couples chimney sections together with just a 1/8 turn. 
• Sectional overlap of 1-1/8''. 

The chimney must extend at least three feet above the highest point where it passes through the roof surface and at least two feet higher than any part of the building within a horizontal distance of ten feet.
