This product has a perfect performance record. After 14 years, we have sold over 2 million feet of pipe and ZERO FAILURES! No other product can make this claim.
Do NOT buy a BLACK underground pipe. This is a common mistake. The BLACK outer casing is actually drain tile, and it is not made to be waterproof. This will fail 100% - and is costly to replace.
ONLY use underground pipe with the premium composite compound - you will find this high quality ONLY when you see a WHITE outer casing - the ideal composite compound and thickness to be "Forever Waterproof".
If you see a good price on BLACK underground pipe – STAY AWAY! Black drain tile is not manufactured to be waterproof – it will leak, fill with water, and suck heat from your pipe into the ground.
We in the industry have a name for these low-grade pipes: "Do-Over Pipe" because you will end up having to do it over in a few years. When that happens, customers deeply regret "going cheap" on their pipe investment. Don't make this mistake.
Also, don't make the mistake of thinking that spending a much higher price gets you a better product. You can pay $12-$14 per foot (or more) for “Foamy-Filled” pipe imported from Sweden. It is a LOWER grade product with a HIGHER price because of overseas European shipping costs. Don't make this mistake! Watch this video HERE showing the expert review of that product:

Do I Need “Oxygen Barrier” PEX in my Insulated PEX?
"Oxygen Barrier" is a premium upgraded version of PEX that contains a barrier that prevents oxygen from passing through the pipe into system water. Oxygen allows corrosion to boiler steel and components in systems that contain untreated water. Oxygen Barrier PEX is required for pressurized boiler systems. Non-O2 Barrier pex tubing is used for boiler systems that are open to the atmosphere (such as most outdoor boilers) and other systems that are non-pressurized. Liquid Armor Water Treatment is recommended for ALL systems, whether pressurized or non-pressurized.
INDUSTRY SHORTAGES
All our Insulated PEX is made in America, but the Special Composite Compound WHITE outer casing is made in Canada where the good folks there really know about cold and how to design products to last in extremely cold conditions. Our premium O2 barrier and non-O2 barrier PEX tubing is made only to the most stringent ASTM standards by some of the world’s most reputable manufacturers of PEX, including Sioux Chief (US), Palconn, and Rifeng (China). Regardless of where these high-grade components come from, OutdoorBoiler.com will handle any warranty matters for you from beginning to end (even though we have never had any claims!) because Heat Mizer is our product, and we stand behind our product. Special orders MAY be available upon request so please call for more info.
INDUSTRY BEST WARRANTY
Our warranty offers a full replacement of your insulated PEX, PLUS a labor reimbursement if your product fails in the first five years. Nobody else in the entire industry offers such a robust warranty –we obviously believe in our product.
Can I Splice PEX Underground?
Remember, the outdoor boiler underground pipe must NEVER be spliced underground. Make sure you measure carefully! Measure the distance from the back of the furnace to the wall where the pipe will enter the building. Then add 10 feet - this is mandatory for the sweep coming up into the back of the boiler, and the need to go through the building wall at least 2 feet.
Note: Please remember that PEX tubing must never be spliced underground. We never use any couplings for the PEX tubing and insulation, regardless of the length of the Insulated PEX pipe ordered. However, the outer casing may require a commercial heat shrink coupling for lengths over 250 feet. This is an industrial application performed at our manufacturing facility only and applies only to the outer casing – Again, we NEVER (and you should never) splice the PEX tubing in the underground portion of the Insulated PEX.
How Deep to Bury?
A common question we get is "How deep" should the underground pipe be buried? In most cases, the answer is just TWO FEET. The reason for this is that many locations have codes that require electrical wires to be buried two feet and since the electric wire that feeds power to the outdoor boiler will go in this same trench, we recommend a burial depth of two feet.
Can I Bury Insulated PEX Under a Driveway?
Please note, that if you will bury this pipe underneath a driveway, particularly a gravel driveway, you must bury the pipe at least FOUR FEET deep AND place the pipe inside a six-inch PVC conduit, but just under the locations where vehicles will pass.
